The creation of a new FAO country office is a rare event. However, as could be the case, instructions are provided to optimize the government`s use management process. Cooperation between Tajikistan and FAO has existed since the country joined the Organization in 1995. FAO`s assistance initially took the form of short-term emergency assistance to respond to a grasshopper outbreak and help the country transition to stability after a period of civil war. More recently, cooperation has shifted to rehabilitation and development activities to establish a sustainable agricultural sector and food security. The theme of the roundtable was particularly important for Myanmar, as food security is one of the country`s top priorities highlighted in the Agricultural Development Strategy (ADS) and the priority area included in FAO`s new national planning framework for the years 2017-2022. Multilateral treaties approved under Article XIV of the FAO Constitution, under which the FAO conference can approve member states` agreements and agreements on food and agriculture and submit them to member states. These treaties are concluded within the framework of FAO. FAO has contributed to the implementation of the country`s current agricultural reform. Strengthening the national food security information system as part of the national food security and nutrition programme, developing sustainable agricultural systems for crop production and diversification, and implementing voluntary guidelines for good land, fisheries and forest governance are currently at the heart of FAO`s activities in Tajikistan. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations organized a roundtable on food security, nutrition and rural development to celebrate the 40th anniversary of faO`s presence in the country, attended by key partners and officials from relevant counterparts in the Myanmar government. In his speech, Graziano da Silva said the agreement would strengthen FAO`s partnership with Tajikistan and open up new opportunities for cooperation on common goals.

Bilateral agreements adopted under Article 15 of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture, which call for agreements between the treaty`s governing body and the International Agricultural Research Centres of the Advisory Group for International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), in which there are ex situ collections of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture of fiduciary origin. The decision to create a new position is the prerogative of the Director General. The link with the country concerned is provided directly by the OSD, by FAOR in case of multiple approvals. This agreement was an important step in strengthening relations between FAO and the Government of Burkina Faso. In some cases, when it is decided to implement country coverage through multiple accreditation agreements, the agreement is formalized by a simple exchange of letters (although this may sometimes require Parliamentary approval, for example. B Georgia). The multiple accreditation agreement may provide for the appointment of an FAOR Deputy Representative (Program) and a Support Staff or National Correspondent. The event took place on 27 October at the Chatrium Hotel in Yangon and was visited by some 150 participants, including representatives of the government, civil society, representatives of the local Yangon community, the donor community, FAO retirees and beneficiaries of FAO interventions in the country. While FAO`s first country offices were created by a simple exchange of letters, the HCAs currently include the following: On 19 February 2018, Ouagadougou – The signing of an agreement on the host country between the Government of Burkina Faso and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in the conference room of the Laco Hotel took place.
